Interactive software for the “Undercover” TV series, produced by the Bulgarian National Television (BNT). The software powered an interactive installation at the gala evening reception for the season finale. Visitors had the chance to take on the series’ notorious ‘bad guy’ with the help of a WII-controller powered (toy) gun. The gun allowed users to take aim at a life-sized display with the bad guy and finally ‘give him what he deserves’.. only to find out he was safely staying behind a bullet proof glass, avoiding redemption and doing what he does best: being ‘bad’. The display offered fun and engaging way to connect audiences with the TV series. Depending on the user action, the scene would end up in different outcomes (none of which could have the bad guy hurt). Aside a WII-controller, the installation supported a Kinect sensor which helped the character track user position and respond to the presence of an audience.
Key Features:
- User tracking and audience awareness (with Kinect)
- Natural User Interface (in this case users could interact by the means of a toy-gun powered by a WII-controller, which ‘felt’ and acted similar to a real gun).
